IT Due Diligence Project

Learn how OGG helped a Fortune 100 automotive manufacturer managed their global IT due diligence plan and execution program for an M&A carve-out initiative.

In 2009 performed a global IT due diligence assessment related to Client, and their Partners investment in the "Target" and their subsidiaries. We conducted senior executive interviews in 10 countries involving the CIO, COO and the VP of Application Development and Communications regarding the following project charter objectives:  (a) an assessment of information provided by the Company; (b) an assessment of supporting information gathered from various sources; and, (c) assessment of relevant industry benchmark information.

The project achievements developed a business continuity plan to minimize risk in the event of a severe/partial infrastructure loss; new financial budgets for capital spending, a regular refresh program that reflects the refresh of the infrastructure in a three (3) to five (5) year period, depending on its service, which is consistent with leading practices, and project those budgets in post closing running rate.

We helped our global client with content documentation to ensure that the application development methodology, development platform, detailed documentation, and retention of knowledge about the in-house developed applications is in place to minimize risk and costs in the future.
